Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert SVG to PNG online?
Upload your SVG file (drag and drop or click the upload zone), configure your output options (format, dimensions, background, scale), then click Convert. Your PNG will be ready to download instantly. Everything happens in your browser — no file is ever uploaded to any server.
Does SVG to PNG conversion preserve transparency?
Yes. When you select PNG or WebP as the output format and keep the background set to Transparent, the converted image will preserve transparency. JPEG does not support transparency — if you convert a transparent SVG to JPEG, the transparent areas will be filled with white (or any color you choose with the background color picker).
Can I batch convert multiple SVG files at once?
Yes. Hold Ctrl (Windows/Linux) or Cmd (Mac) when selecting files to choose multiple SVGs at once, or drag and drop multiple files into the upload zone. All files will be converted with your chosen settings. You can download them individually or click "Download All as ZIP" to get everything in one archive.
What is the difference between 1x, 2x, 3x, and 4x scale?
Scale multipliers create high-resolution images for retina and HiDPI displays. 1x is standard resolution. 2x doubles the pixel dimensions (ideal for Mac Retina displays). 3x is for high-density mobile screens. 4x is for very high resolution or print work. For example, a 100×100px SVG at 4x will produce a 400×400px PNG — perfect for crisp display on any screen.
How do I create an ICO favicon from an SVG?
Select ICO as the output format, then upload your SVG and click Convert. The converter automatically generates all standard favicon sizes (16×16, 32×32, 48×48, and 64×64 pixels) and packages them into a single .ico file. This file can be used directly as a favicon in your website's <head> tag or in the root directory of your web server.
Is my SVG data safe? Is anything uploaded to a server?
Your files are 100% private. All conversion happens entirely in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API — no server, no upload, no network request. Your SVG source code and the resulting PNG, JPEG, WebP, or ICO files never leave your device. You can even use this tool offline after loading the page.
