Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find the best meeting time across time zones?
Add the cities you need to meet with using the search dropdown. The tool automatically shows a 24-hour timeline for each location and highlights the overlapping working hours in green. The best meeting window is displayed at the top — click Copy to format it for a calendar invite.
Does this tool account for Daylight Saving Time (DST)?
Yes. The tool uses the browser's built-in Intl.DateTimeFormat API with IANA timezone identifiers, which automatically accounts for Daylight Saving Time on any date. Use the date picker to check meeting times on specific future dates — DST transitions are handled automatically.
What are working hours for each city?
The default working hours are 9 AM to 5 PM local time. You can adjust this for each city by clicking the ✏️ edit icon next to their name. The overlap calculation updates immediately when you change working hours.
What if there's no overlapping working hours?
If there's no overlap during standard working hours (9AM–5PM), the tool suggests the best compromise time — the window where the most cities are in either working or awake (non-sleeping) hours. This is shown as a "Best Compromise" suggestion.
How many cities can I compare at once?
You can compare 2 to 6 cities at once. The tool includes 100+ major cities. You can also use quick presets: US Coasts (NYC + LA), US + Europe (NYC + London), US + Asia (NYC + Tokyo), or Global (New York + London + Singapore).
How do I copy the meeting time suggestion?
Click the "Copy" button in the Best Meeting Window section. The time is formatted for calendar invites, showing the local time in each city — for example: "Tuesday 3:00 PM EST / 8:00 PM GMT / 5:00 AM JST".
